Amasya in todays
As it is mentioned from the beginning, Amasya is with its governership, municipality,
civil society institutes and compatriots coming together and then they try
to introduce the city with its culture and tourism potential in the meetings
held at national and international levels, and they show us the conscious of
conservation as a model with their organizations through out this frame. The
patriots are so sensible and behave together in the conservation of cultural
and historical inheritance and transferring them to next generations. Since
people in Amasya have behaved consciously and knowing the goal,the city has
been turned to an open-air museum visited by 150.000 tourists
every year.
The works about the restoration of private buildings by the owners and the works of restoration of culture inheritance belong to public by public
institutions go on with great enthusiasm till todays, although there are some
minuses, Amasya has a dazzling visual beauty. There are still lots of
buildings which aren’t not only private properties but also belong to the
public waiting for restoration suitable to its origin. With the last work of
culture and tourism ministry, restorating the houses which have registration
suitable to their origin by the supports of the government is an important
development in conservating the cultural inheritance. 38 projects from our
city have been offered to the Culture and Tourism Ministry.
